Destiny 2 fans have been hit with some bad news about the PC release date, which appears to have been delayed beyond September.
Destiny 2 has been given a September 8 release date on PS4 and Xbox One, but not on PC, where no date has been set.
Bungie told PC Gamer that it hasn’t “committed to a PC date yet” and that the game would be given more time if necessary.
That’s according to Destiny 2 creative director Luke Smith, who told PC Gamer: “Our partnership with Blizzard and being on Battle.net, we want to make sure that this version of the game has the time it needs to bake in the oven so it’s a delicious piece of bread when it comes out.”
PC pre-order customers will still be given access to the Destiny 2 beta, which is also without a date.
Yesterday’s Destiny 2 reveal was broadcast from an airplane hangar in Hawthorne, California, where Bungie showed off gameplay for the very first time.

During the live stream it was revealed that Destiny 2 will feature brand new Exotic weapons and armour, as well as new subclasses.
Crucible player-vs-player multiplayer will now be 4-v-4 for all modes, and solo players will be able to team up with clans for Raids and Nightfalls.
Also, thanks to a streamlined director, players will be able to quickly travel between the game’s new worlds.
These new worlds include the European Dead Zone, Titan, Nessus and Io.
European Dead Zone is described as Destiny’s largest destination yet. It features a lush forest, an abandoned town, a cave system below the surface, and a Red Legion military base to explore and contest.
Titan is based on one of Saturn’s moons, where Commander Zavala is regrouping at the hands of Ghaul. While there isn’t any land as such, players will explore a series of Golden Age platforms surrounded by a rolling ocean.
Nessus is billed as a strange and unstable planet of sheer walls, lush canyons, and Vex caverns. It’s also where players will find Cayde-6.
Io, meanwhile, is moon of Jupiter where Ikora Rey has gone in search of answers, and where enemies now reside.
