Xbox One X pre-order customers will be pleased to hear the latest news from Bethesda.
Bethesda and Microsoft have confirmed plans to make The Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus fully compatible with Xbox One X.
According to the Xbox Store listing, the two upcoming Bethesda titles will come with 4K Ultra HD visuals.
Likewise, both The Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus will be “Xbox One X Enhanced” and feature HDR support (via Gamespot).
Both games will be out before the release of the Xbox One X, which means the enhancements should be available for launch.
The Evil Within 2 has an October 13 release date, while Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus releases two weeks later on October 27.
The Xbox One X, on the other hand, has a November 7 release date, although there were fears it had been delayed.
Fans were concerned about the lack of available pre-orders, despite the console being unveiled in full at E3 2017.
But Xbox chief Phil Spencer told fans not to worry: “Still on track for November 7th. Feeling good about that date.”
The problem actually boils down to the fact that the Xbox One X hasn’t been approved for sale.
Once the Federal Communications Commission gives its approval, pre-orders will open at the likes of Amazon, GAME and the Microsoft Store.
Microsoft’s impressive new console has a CPU that is 30% faster than that of the original Xbox One, while the GPU is 4.6 times more powerful than its predecessor.
Interestingly, the 8GB of memory – which is up from the 5GB found in the original Xbox One – allows the console to process art assets, making it easier to run 4K resolution visuals at higher speeds.
